FAQ

May I hold my ceremony & reception at 1890?

Absolutely! Many of our brides and grooms use the gorgeous pergola outside to say, “I do” and hold the reception in our beautifully constructed 12 chandelier lighted grand ballroom. We also have a secondary wedding venue on property called The Fields at 1890 that has a beautiful outdoor ceremony location and sits next to it’s own reception hall.    
 

Do you have events all year round at 1890?

Yes! Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer we host indoor and outdoor ceremonies, wedding receptions, company events, holiday parties, baby showers - you name it!

How many guests can 1890 accommodate?

The 1890 Grand Ballroom can seat up to 300 guests comfortably for entertainment. The Fields at 1890 can seat up to 150.  Our Victorian house can seat a maximum of 50 guests and same for our newly remodeled Cocktail Barn.  

Does 1890 offer lodging onsite?

Yes! Our Victorian House & Apartment are available for rent on your special day! Lodging onsite can host up to 16. We also have prearranged discounted rates for room blocks at hotels in the surrounding area! 

What happens if it rains on our wedding day?

If it rains, we will help you transform the Grand Ballroom or Reception Hall into a beautiful ceremony area. Floral arrangements and decor can be brought into the indoor reception areas to create the perfect space to say, “I do”.  After the ceremony, we will quickly transform the space into your reception area. 

Do you have any recommended vendors?

Yes!  Over the years of organizing and hosting weddings and special events, we have created very trustworthy relationships with outstanding vendors of all types. Whether it's photography, videograhers, catering, bands, DJ's, floral, transportation, or hair and makeup specialists, we have a long list of approved vendors we can provide you to choose from, with exclusive discounts, that will come to you in your welcome email the day you book with us.   

What are my bar options?

1890 Event Space and The Fields Event Space both have exclusive in-house bar service including all of required licensing, staff, supplies, and experience you need for the PERFECT party! 

How long does a tour of the property take?

A tour of our property typically takes around 90 minutes, this can shorten or lengthen depending on if you are seeing one or both venues, bridal lounges, and lodging accomodations. The more our visitors can provide us with upfront information as to what they are looking for and what they are wanting to accomplish, the better we can tailor your tour to your objectives.  

What is the time allotment for an event?

A standard 14 hour rental is included at both spaces from 9am to 11pm.
 

How do I book an event at 1890 or The Fields?

Booking is simple. While touring our property, we will create and send you a proposal live onsite with your desired date, estimated bar numbers, etc. Once the proposal and contract is signed, it will prompt you for your first payment right there in the portal. Once the first payment is made, everything is locked in and you are officially booked with us! 

How much does it cost to book a wedding at 1890 or The Fields?

You can view our pricing page HERE. On average, the wedding rate for The Fields Event Space is between $4,000 and $7,000 depending on the day of the week, while the wedding rate at 1890 Event Space ranges from $5,000 to $8,500 depending on the day of the week.

Do you have additional fees?

Additional fees are all up to you! 1890 & The Fields gives you the option to add an overnight stay for up to 16 guests in the Victorian House or Apartment, as well as bar services, and/or booking extra hours of fun. 
 
 
There is sales & liquor tax and a service fee built in to the bar package only to cover bartenders, barbacks, glassware, consumables, ice, garnishes, & mixers.

Does You Require Event Insurance?

Yes! All weddings & events are required to purchase event insurance. This event insurance can be purchased through our partner Event Helper at a discounted rate with a $0 damage deductible, and we even cover Host Liquor Liability for you! More details will come on this after you book!

How many events do you hold in a day?

Each venue will host no more than one private event per day, however, there could be two events happening simultaniously on the property if both venues are booked. But don't worry! Our expert staff, attentive venue manager, and ample signage help your guests get where they need to go and avoid any crossover between events. Neither will even know eachother is there!

Is there parking available for my guests?

Yes, there is ample paved parking directly in front of 1890 Event Space as well as paved parking at The Fields Event Space. 

Is your property handicapped accessible?

Yes! Both of our outdoor ceremony sites, reception halls, ballroom, cocktail barn & their accompanying restrooms are handicapped accessible.

Do the venues have Wi-Fi?

Yes! We have Wi-Fi available for our guests to use in all venues including the Victorian house.
